today i love october

as i steered my car down the block to the light and turned the corner i found myself viewing daybreak. or perhaps i was the one breaking into day. it was meek, being powerful but not overpowering. the orange and yellow glowed behind the dark low wall of cloud. the innocence mission filled my car (self-titled, 1989). as i drove home i was so glad for the autumn day. in the afternoon the clouds all about above me looked as the scenery of a comfortable dream. oh i felt they could just sweep me right up into themselves and i would be completely content.
